NovaPride Terms of Service

Welcome to NovaPride! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the NovaPride website, dashboard, Nova Connect community, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

NovaPride is not a bank, credit union, or financial institution. We provide a read-only personal finance experience, community features, and educational AI-generated insights.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident (for MVP) to use the Services.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information (including your chosen name and pronouns if you share them). Do not share your account or use someone else’s account.

3. Services & AI Insights

Our Services include a personal finance dashboard (Nova Hub), community features (Nova Connect), and AI-generated insights. These insights are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, medical, tax, or investment advice. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions.

4. Community Use (Nova Connect)

Nova Connect is a safe, inclusive space. You agree to:

  • Respect chosen names/pronouns and identities.
  • Avoid harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content.
  • Refrain from illegal, exploitative, or deceptive content (including financial solicitations/scams). User-generated content does not represent NovaPride’s views. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Linking Financial Accounts

When you connect financial accounts, you authorize NovaPride and Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to securely access and transmit your information from your financial institution. NovaPride does not receive or store your bank login credentials. By using account linking, you also agree to Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy:

6. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use/share it, and your choices (export/deletion, masking, retention). Please read it carefully.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse our software or data.
  • Upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software in the Services are owned by NovaPride or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, applicable laws, or pose a risk to users or the platform.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties of any kind regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability, including for AI insights or community content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NovaPride is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflicts of law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you (e.g., email, in-app notice). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
