Campus Ambassador Program Guidelines
Welcome! Before you apply, read through what it means to be a NovaPride campus ambassador. We keep this clear and human—no legal jargon, just honest expectations.
Last updated: December 2025
You’re a volunteer, not an employee
Ambassadors participate as independent volunteers, not employees of NovaPride. Stipends and budgets are program support—not wages—and you can pause participation anytime.
- No employment relationship or employee benefits
- No W-2 wages or HR onboarding
- You participate at your own discretion
- Stipends and budgets support your programming
What you can (and can’t) do
You represent the program on campus while respecting limits designed to keep students safe.
✅ You can:
- Host workshops, meetups, and conversations about financial wellness
- Share Nova materials and help students explore the app
- Collect feedback and share insights with the Nova team
- Coordinate inclusive community-care moments
❌ You can’t:
- Sign contracts on behalf of NovaPride
- Speak to media as an official NovaPride representative without approval
- Collect, handle, or request students’ financial information
- Help students link bank accounts or make financial decisions
Campus rules come first
You’re responsible for following university policies. When in doubt, check with student activities before hosting events or tabling.
- Follow posting, tabling, and event approval processes
- Only solicit in approved spaces
- Respect student organization policies and guidelines
- Ask for help if a policy is unclear
Lead with inclusivity and respect
NovaPride was built by and for the LGBTQ+ community. Ambassadors commit to inclusive leadership.
- Create welcoming spaces for all identities
- Respect pronouns, chosen names, and boundaries
- Keep student stories confidential
- Address harm with accountability and care
NovaPride may remove ambassadors who violate community values, campus conduct policies, or harm others.
Privacy & data safety
As a financial wellness platform, privacy is non-negotiable.
- Ambassadors never receive access to private user data
- Do not troubleshoot accounts or request login credentials
- Never collect bank information from students
- Direct technical issues to [email protected]
We’re a startup—things will evolve
NovaPride is in beta and our campus program is brand new. Benefits and requirements may change as we learn.
- We’ll share updates when program structure shifts
- Participation can be paused or ended at NovaPride’s discretion
- Ambassadors can opt out anytime
- Feedback helps us shape future cohorts
